Book Review: The Troop by Nick Cutter

The Troop by Nick Cutter is a superb body horror novel about a troop of Boy Scouts trapped on an island with parasitic worms that eat and reproduce rapidly, devouring their victims from the inside out. Cutter’s skill as a writer is on full display as he vividly describes the movement of the worms and their horrifying effects on the victims’ bodies in chilling detail that will haunt your mind’s eye long after you’ve finished the story. If you’re not squeamish and you want to read something disgustingly terrifying, The Troop is the perfect gross-out horror novel for you.
